Easytobook.com launches website redesign
[like]
Just as running water doesn’t become stagnant, change keeps us fresh and invigorated. We’ve presented our site with the same design for long enough; it’s time we changed it up a little.
The point is not only to make it look more attractive for you as a user, but also to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. No matter what type of traveller you are, we want it to be simple and even fun to find the hotel that suits you best.
Diving straight in, you’ll notice quite a difference to the home page:
TripAdvisor reviews now appear on Easytobook.com
[like]
If you’ve looked for hotels on Easytobook.com at some point over the past few weeks, you may have noticed a slight change to the information you can view.
We always strove to provide the highest possible quality and reliable content so that our customers can make the most informed choice when booking a hotel.
However, we now list over 120,000 hotels worldwide, which demands a lot of activity on the reviewing front. As a solution to this conundrum we teamed up with big boys TripAdvisor in order to achieve some kind of cross-platform arrangement.
Travix reinforces its position in the online travel industry by purchasing hotel provider easytobook.com
[like]
Travix is the parent company for five online travel brands, including CheapTickets (Europe & Asia), Vliegwinkel.nl (Netherlands), BudgetAir (United Kingdom & France) and Vayama (USA & Canada). By acquiring easytobook.com, an international hotel reservation portal with more than 100,000 hotels worldwide, Travix will expand its already extensive product line to include international hotels and packages.

We started this blog and our Facebook page about 2 months ago, and since then we are loving the level of engagement we got with you!
Because of that, after our last contest, we decided to create a map with all the pictures you sent us to share with all of you how beautiful the world is out there and, even more important, how nice it is to travel around the world!
So, tell us, what would be your next trip?
One on one talk with our winning Amsterdam Hotels
Last week, we announced our “Best reviewed Amsterdam hotels of 2010”.
The hotels which made it to the final list got the highest scores from their guests. Amsterdam is an extremely popular city and it is full with tourists all year long. You can only imagine the amount of hotels we have here and the difficulty with booking the perfect accommodation for each person. That is why the outcome of this list made us even more curious about the winning hotels; what is so special about them that made people vote for them time after time? Do they use secret tricks or a certain approach that keeps them so popular with so many different people? We decided to go on a quest in order to get our answers.
Sydney Tips from our very own Rochelle!
Same as last time, as part of our “Interview Specials” for the EasyToBook.com Blog, we took some precious time off from the busy daily office life, and planned in a small chat with one of our team members. During this chat I ask an employee about where he/she comes from, what brought them to Amsterdam and other fun stuff. This week is the last week in Amsterdam for one of our favorite girls in the company!
Rochelle Buultjens arrived to Amsterdam 4 and a half years ago, all the way from beautiful Australia and now she is going back home. Well, who can blame her really? This week’s interview is therefore written with a mix of sadness and happiness: we are very sad to see Rochelle leaving but we are also happy for her and wish her a smooth and fresh (re)start in Kangaroo land! So, right before she goes on her long journey, (24 hours journey if you really want to know) we grabbed her for a quick interview about Sydney:

Christmas is over, but my belly is still here…
[like]
Christmas is over, but a lot of people -including me- still have in their belly the vivid memories of the food we had during the holiday season. Since EasyToBook.com is an international company with people from all around the world, a lot of people went on holiday to their home country to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve with family and friends and, of course, eat their typical Christmas specialties. In these days we keep talking in our kitchen about what we had during the past holidays, so I decided to make a list from a few favorite holiday season specialties from countries from which EasyToBook.com employees are originally from.
Italy
You can easily recognize which of the Italian EasyToBook.com employees spent their holiday back home… We walk like zombies, holding onto our bellies as if our lives depend on it. Even though New Year’s Eve was over a week ago, we can still feel all the food we had.
The Christmas and New Year’s Eve dinners in Italy are basically the same, but there are some small variations. In the south, where I am from, every course contains fish: we start with smoked salmon, then spaghetti with seafood, followed by some fish cooked in the oven. I know this sounds almost like a dinner when you are on a diet, but the fish is just the base of the dinner… Between the main fish courses you usually have any kind of deep fried vegetables, mozzarella, nuts and much, much more.
For New Year’s Eve the most important things to eat are lentils and “cotechino”, a special kind of sausage that we eat only during New Year’s Eve. Lentils symbolize luck with money and “cotechino” fortunes for good health.
EasyToBook.com is warming up for Christmas
Here at EasyToBook.com we don’t really need a special reason to celebrate. For us, any occasion is good enough to excuse ourselves for a night out together. One, two or three drinks are a must in order for us to start the weekend properly, and leave the work load at our desks. No matter how many people joining or how many drinks were having, our favorite place, around the corner, with always friendly staff is the “Doffer”. What can we say, we are loyal customers!
Because there is more to life than work, and we enjoy each other’s company outside the office too, we got very excited when we heard there was a Christmas party planned for us. The theme of the party was 80s, and the most original costume, (by original we don’t mean Madonna or Cyndi Lauper) won a weekend away in Barcelona, Rome or Paris! Aside from the price there were drinks, snacks and a pumping D.J! Check out these pictures in order to get a taste on how it was! One thing is for sure, you should have been there:
