Amsterdam Singel HotelMaaaan…this was a tough one.  We got SO many comments on the latest competition blogpost.  It was fantastic but also really difficult reading through them all and deciding a winner.  There are so many people that deserve a break, a special treat, and even the experience of a lifetime.  So we can’t give it to everybody, but at least we have one treat to give away.

First of all, thanks once again to the Singel Hotel in Amsterdam for making this possible.  Being located on Amsterdam’s central canal ring gives you the opportunity to explore so many cultural attractions of this magnificent city.  Plus, a canal cruise is a fascinating way to experience Amsterdam.

Well, I guess I should stop yapping and announce the winner of 2 nights in double/twin room with breakfast, a canal cruise and a bottle of champagne.  I already said it was tough – our shortlist was still several pages long…

…but we ended up agreeing on Elisabetta Sechi:

As a fan of art and culture, you’re guaranteed to get a great deal out of a trip to Amsterdam.  We’re sure that this will be an amazing experience for you.

Amsterdam CanalNow you have your prize and your hotel in Amsterdam, you just need to book your flight tickets (and why not check out our partner site for cheap flights to Amsterdam).

As you prepare for your trip, you can get some tips in our recent Insiders Guide to Amsterdam; also, to navigate the city successfully you can get advice from our Amsterdam bicycle survival guide and our comprehensive post on Public transport in Amsterdam.

I think it just remains for me to say congratulations and well done, Elisabetta.  We’ll contact you with further details.

For all our other fans, stay tuned; there are loads more competitions lined up for this year!

About Michael

Arrogance, hostility, parsimony, rapacity, impatience; the five humours of the Englishman abroad are my most positive features and also my guide and solace through tribulations. I delight in coffee, cheese, and the music of Ray Charles, and you can catch me trying to form a queue anywhere from Centraal Station to Hoofddorpplein.
