We visited Barcelona very briefly during a cruise 2 years ago and we always vowed we would go back to spend more time in this beautiful city. Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, the architecture, the food – need I go on what a special place this is and what memories it would create for us.

I’ve been to Barcelona once and it was love from the first sight! Not only with the city but also with my boyfriend – we met in Barcelona and are now happily engaged :) It would be amazing to visit it again but this time together!
One of my favourite memories from Barcelona is sitting down in a little square listening to a street musician with the most amazing voice. One of the songs he sang got particularly stuck in my head and I couldn’t forget it for months. I knew I had heard it before but didn’t know who sings it. Only recently I found out that it was ‘The Girl from Ipanema’ – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8VPmtyLqSY.

Have liked your FB page – my profile is linked under my name.
Why I am telling this is because this song to me sounds like Barcelona – it’s magical, warm, relaxing, yet full of energy. :)

  8. Edward Mennes says:

I only can say, please, please, please let it be me!

  9. My visits to Barcelona in the past have been too short – I need to see more and experience more of the city, the architecture, the environment and the surroundings! I want to hike in the mountains and go for wine tastings at those vineyards I’ve heard so much about, and wouldn’t mind seeing how Sagrada Familia evolved since my last visit, or perhaps watch FC Barca at the Camp Nou..

  10. Kate Gardner says:

Barcelona is quite possibly the most thriving, diverse and cultured city in my life, I adore the people, the places and the atmosphere, getting lost in the streets is a pleasure with the smells, tastes and infectious lifestyle of its residents. The city never sleeps and is just as beautiful at night as it is during the day, any time of year it is the best city to relax and unwind or party till you drop, I would love the opportunity to visit once more and have amazing experiences once more…

  11. Judy says:

Here is a haiku for Barcelona: all haikus have a syllable structure of 5-7-5

    A presence hovers
    A man with gaudy ideas
    That man is Gaudi

  12. Linda says:

My doctor says I’m overworked and need more time for myself. Barcelona would be for me the medicine to relax and enjoy.

  13. Sara Melo says:

Why should you pick me and not someone else?
Because for me Barcelona is like a city of discovery and therapy.

It’s a city where you can reinvent yourself.

You get lost and you find yourself.

Every minute that pass, you are surprised by the people passing by and their unique spirit.

There are many other things that I could say to you, but the olny thing that I can asure is that if you choose me, I will make sure that you will not regret it.

  14. Claire Grozier says:

I don’t deserve to go, but my boyfriend sure as hell does.

He has had a miserable year, faced with the threat of redundancy and suffering ill health. He spent some time in Barcelona years ago as a happy, hopeful young man and I’d love for him to revisit this incredible city and to feel that again.

  15. Nenad Marinovic says:

I would like to go to FC Barcelona to show how well I play football.
After that, I am sure I will be among the first 11.

  16. m k says:

    Barcelona, superb !!!!!

  17. Tina H P says:

I deserve to win cuz I’m cold, tired, overcommitted, working my you-know-what off, never get enough sleep (thx to my utterly delicious but full-on child), love Spain, need a break, blah blah – If I win, I promise to come back home to Paris & be totally happy for three whole months. So you’d be doing the Parisians a favour LOL

  18. Jani Paukkonen says:

Simply, we have never been in Italy just heard a lot of praises about it, sooooo now we (students) ! and my wife should get a change to go and see whether those praises are thrue ;D

  19. Leo says:

Would love to go to Barcelona as it looks like such a magical city! I’m desperate to see La Sagrada Família, Nou Camp and the Picasso museum – all of which are ideally located to be visited from the spectacular looking hotel on offer here!

I’ve not seen many places in Europe and would love to go on an expedition to Barcelona with my girlfriend so we can both take in the sights and sounds of this incredible Catalan city! This is a wonderful opportunity and one that was too good to ignore! So thanks to Easy to Book for arranging it!!

Hope I win – but good luck to everybody else as well! Whoever wins is sure to have a great time!

  20. wendy says:

I would love to win a stay in Barcelona, our first wedding anniversary is soon and we didn’t get the chance to have a honeymoon and Barcelona was where we had planned to go

  21. Alan goldwater says:

My partner is just struggling with her second dysfunctional private international school in Rome. It is a question of whether they sack her, or she has a total mental and physical meltdown at the hand of a neurotic, bullying, half-mad (to give her the benefit of the doubt!) headmistress. In this case we will be left with no English language school for our 5 year-old and not enough money to meet the extortionate cost of living in Rome. As we are seriously considering Barcelona as a potential bolthole, we really could do with a couple of nights there to check it out.

  22. Hi there, my husband and I got engaged in Barcelona in April 2001 under the magnificient spires of the Sagrada Familia. Asides the romance of it all we had a fabulous time, the weather was great, we walked our feet off down Las Ramblas, soaking up the atmosphere, I was spoilt in the flower market and we went to some wonderful concerts. We certainly put on a few kgs because of all the tapas we ate! We are about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary – I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than back in Barcelona!!

  23. Miss H says:

because it’s where me and my boyfriend fell in love!

  24. elisseos fytros says:

i have a dream : to meet in barcelona my old love from a city in benelux . i have chosen this artistic city to meet again my love. after 29 years a romantic dream of us may come true!

  25. Anna says:

I would like to go to Barcelona with my boyfriend soon..it is a wonderful city with Gaudì works of art, the sea, the famous Ramblas… a good temperature even in December…Barcelona is perfect for a romantic weekend!!

  26. Fiona Jowett says:

We went to Barcelona with the kids a few years ago and loved it. Would love the chance to go back there without them!

  27. Marta says:

I have never won anything in my life, so first of all, winning this contest will be the very first winning experience for me. The other, most important thing is that I have never been there and I kind of need to go, cause my dad is extremely keen on football and extremely afraid of flying. There is no other way to get original FC Barcelona T-shirt for him than just send me there. By not letting me win this contest you will make cry not only me, but my father too. Last reason is that I love traveling and I visited many of European cities, Barcelona was always on the list of “must seen” but somehow I have never reached it. Help me complete my list and let me win :).

  28. Barcelona, barcelona, city of neverending experiences. Every time I go to Barcelona I find new spots; restaurants, cafes and nice hotels and I love to blog about them. Easytobook gives me the feeling of being a workingnomad and be part of the world.

  29. I feel more than any one I need to go to Barcelona. The reason for this is very simple. At school, I was suppose to go with the football team to Barcelona for a week, see the city, play some football and see the Nous Camp, this unfortunately did not happen as I came down with food poisoning and was not able to go… gutted was not the word. So you can imagine my luck 3 years later my girlfriend of the time had book flights to go to the city, 2 months later we broke up after she cheated with you can guess it, one of the boys in my school football team, so not only had a lost my gf, not seen Barcelona the boys that went there were just rubbing it in my face. I could go on to tell you in more detail how this happened, but I have never been, have always wanted to, being unemployed for most of the year as were 1m 16-25yr olds I have been unable to rebook. Please offer me this chance to see the beautiful city and at last put these monsters to bed!

  30. Aylin says:

Seems good. I’ll tell you better once I visit it

  31. I would love to win this offer because my wife & myself may go to Madrid in June 2012 . It will be a shame if we cannot see Beautiful Barcelona because of hotel prices.

  32. katie robinson says:

i absolutely adore Barcelona – this was the first holiday that me and Andy went on together, so it has a special place in my heart. We turned up and La Merce festival was on, this was amazing to watch, all the streets were closed as fire breathing dragons, dancing girls and marching bands lined the streets for the whole weekend. Everyone was in such good spirits and it really showed how friendly and fun the Spanish really were – they really knew how to party and get you involved. This has been my favorite holiday place and i would love the opportunity to go back. It has everything you need from a city break: fab shopping, great bars and restaurants and a beach to soak up the rays – it’s perfect! I I would absolutely love to go back with Andy again to get back to the buzzing vibrant city of Barcelona. :-) xxx

  38. Anneriek Wesselink says:

Why? I have 1.000.000 great reasons, but the most important reason is simple: I would love to suprise my boyfriend with this citytrip for us :-)

  39. Kieran & Joe says:

Barcelona has a great dual aspect for those hoilday makers who enjoy relaxing days by the beach and chilling in the many beach front cafes but as night falls dining on the famous Las Ramblas and having a skin full in the many pubs.

The city offers fantastic culture, food and fantastic attractions. Barcelona has something to offer for all budgets and walks of life.

Bring on my next trip to Barcelona at the end of November 2011, my fourth trip to the city in two years…….

  40. Fabrizio says:

Hi everyone, I’m Fabrizio, I’m Italian, from Empoli near Florence.
I’d like to win this prize because of the terrible year I have just passed, losing my work, without any possibilities to have a new one in a short time.
Barcelona is one of mine preferred city in Europe, I haven’t won anything in my life, so I’d like it very much.

  41. Veronica Thomas says:

Nearly all our friends have been. They have all come back raving about Barcelona, the sights, the culture, the people. This would be a brilliant opportunity to go and find out for ourselves just what it is about Barcelona that creates such fantastic comments and reviews

  42. carol says:

We stayed at the hotel Universal Barcelona in March 2011, the only disappointment was we didn’t stay for long enough. This hotel is excellent, clean, beautiful decor, friendly staff, great choice at the buffet breakfast and the location couldn’t be better for a city break. We stay for 3 days, it wasn’t enough for all the wonderful sites to see in Barcelona. I would love to go back with my husband to enjoy the part of Barcelona we didn’t get to see first time round.

  43. Erlan says:

I will never have enaugh of Gaudi….

  44. ian noble says:

Barcelona is a trip to the past, but presently the best stepping stone, gateway, to Sitges

  45. Sunshine says:

would love to win a stay at this hotel. This year has been very hard, there has been lots of changes in work for myself and my husband. After working 31 years for the same company my husband has had his working hours cut and a reduction in his salary. Apart from the loss of earnings it has taken it toll on him. For the best part of this year he has been very low and has lost a lot of his confidence which was very sad to see. He has now turned a corner and he is getting back to his old self. So I would love to win it and surprise him with this trip.

  46. Gail McCormack says:

Not only do I love Barcelona, it is my favourite european city but I have never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever won anything in my life before and this would be an amazing prize I could share with my boyfriend!!!

  47. Josie Cabrera says:

I want to win coz I wanted to see Barcelona once more…..And stay there longer!!! Its a very beautiful and amazing place to go and visit…..

  48. Carlos says:

    Hi:

I have lots of reasons to deserve this prize.

I lived in Barcelona for almost 8 years and left some friends there. I have talked about the city to my girlfriend and I’d love to take her there by surprise. Besides, one of my best friends has just had a baby and I’d love to get to know the child.

    Thanks :)

  49. Alida Stanzel says:

It’s some of my biggest dreams to visit Barcelona. But I’m only a little student and have no possibilities to let this dream come true. Therefore I’d like to win this price. It would be really great!

  50. Laszlo Karafa says:

    Hi!

I am Laszlo from Hungary, and I have plenty of reasons why I deserve this two nights in the hotel. Some of them:
I work hard all year long
    I have some friends there
    I love Barcelona!
