Most people have probably witnessed the art of hotel towel folding. You enter your room after a nice day at the beach and on the bed you find a sculpture; most likely of a swan, but if you are lucky you will have a cleaner who was extremely creative. You can influence your cleaner by leaving them a tip. Often this results in your cleaner being very creative with his or her towel folding. A tip is best left on the bed. Just tidy your bed a little and lay the money in plain sight. A simple trick is putting the money in a cup from the bathroom in the middle of the bed. Not all cleaners will immediately leave your towel in an artistic form, since it is not easy and your cleaner needs to master the art. However, we do think that a small tip for the cleaners is always in place.
As I mentioned, the swan is most often found as towel art because it resembles love. Other towel art is most likely be influenced by the area you stay in. For instance, there are crocodiles for Australia, elephants and monkeys for Africa, fish for coastal residences and here in the Netherlands you will find flowers.
