The strangest things left behind at airports
I’m really good at leaving stuff behind – I’ve fished my money out of the bin more than once, I’ve dropped my debit card several times, and I regularly used to lock my keys in the car.
That said, I’ve never left anything at the airport without being forced to, so this little list of gems is very much on the amusing side.
Here are some of the strangest items filling the shelves of the Unclaimed Baggage Section:

Ten Top Theme hotels
A vacation should be an experience that, from start to finish, is fun, exciting and special. Minibars and flat screen TVs just don’t turn me on anymore. I want to be wowed.
Luckily, I’m not alone. A number of hotels now offer a choice of unique designs and decor, ranging from romantically themed rooms to upside-down mirror suites. Some of these just have to be seen to be believed.
Come with us on a tour of ten of the top theme hotels around the globe.

Funny signs in hotels
Following on from our post on funny hotel names, we’ve been looking for some amusing signs that are found in hotels. Whether you’ve taken a suite at New Hangover Hotel,
World’s best rollercoasters
Why do we love rollercoasters? They scare us out of our wits, they threaten to kill us, and they even make some of us lose control of our bodily functions. But it’s the rush we crave. The building anticipation; the doubts, the regrets, and then the drop.
The twists, the falls, the loops, the turns. The screams and the thrills. Round the next corner we might all die but right at this moment we feel a million times more alive than we did ten seconds ago.
And as we come to a standstill we’re triumphant to have made it through unscathed. We’re the Chuck Norris of the theme park world; we looked death in the face and had a decent chortle. Now we feel hungry and want a hamburger.
Here’s a rundown of some of the world’s most impressive rollercoasters. Be warned: some of these videos are pretty realistic.
Funny Hotel Names
Some people like to patronise chain hotels because they offer a standard level of accommodation. It can be reassuring to know what level of service and facilities to expect when you stay in a Hilton or a Holiday Inn. Conversely, if you stray off the beaten path you’re forfeiting the kind of reassurance that comes with brand standards.
However, sometimes taking a risk can pay dividends. Take the following hotels, for example; if names are anything to go by, what kind of fun extras might they offer?
Standard travel luggage tips
Would you like to become a packing pro? Can’t take all your clothes with you on holiday? Need to know how to arrange your stuff so that everything fits into your suitcase? No worries; Easytobook.com comes to the rescue and reveals all the secrets of the perfect suitcase!

First of all, you have to ask yourself the right questions: Where am I going? For how long? What will the weather be like? Which suitcases do I have to choose? etc…
We advise you to start preparing your suitcase a few days before your departure. Don’t leave it until the last minute, for the simple reason that there is every chance you’ll forget something or you’ll want the only pair of jeans that is still in the dirty washing basket.
Here are some tips that we might not initially consider, but can be very helpful when packing.
Unusual suitcase designs
Everybody who travels uses luggage. Suitcases are often the weapon of choice to transport a person’s belongings. Whilst a suitcase is nothing more than a large case in different sizes which you have to carry or roll from point A to B, there could be situations where you wished your suitcase could do something more. That’s exactly what some designers or manufacturers thought, and they came up with all kinds of different uses and designs for suitcases.
Suitcases to sit on
I’ll start with designs for one of the most annoying things that can happen while traveling. Yes…waiting… If you have bad luck your feet are killing you and there is no chair around. In that case, these suitcases to sit on can help you out.
Swany Walkin’Bag
This first bag has a steel frame on which you attach the specially designed bag. The Steel frame incorporates a foldout chair which can hold a person up to 125kg. The bag can be detached from the frame in the event that it is not needed. Here you can find many more designs.
Unusual summer festivals around the world
One great thing about working with an international group of colleagues is the opportunity to learn more about other cultures. In our office it’s common to hear cries of, ‘ciao, ragazzi’ and ‘uitbuiken!’ in between discussions over the correct way to serve coffee or how much money to put in the birthday kitty.
Recently we all witnessed the curious antics of the Dutch on Queen’s Day – and yes, we might have joined in a little bit – and as we look forward to the summer months, we’ll all have a chance to discover some fascinating festivals held around the world, courtesy of our mirthful colleagues.
Our first stop is almost next door. France’s Lorraine Mondial Air Balloon event originated as a show and competition to promote tourism in the local area. A bi-annual occasion held since 1989, this event in July sees the congregation of hundreds of balloons from many different countries in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park. The thousands of spectators and hundreds of volunteer assistants witness a breathtaking display of shapes and colours filling the sky.
Are you a food expert?
There are almost 200 different countries in the world and all of them have their own language, their own territory and their own culinary culture. The food and its variety is also one of the most important parts of travelling.
Travel means discovery, and if you visit a country without trying its typical food, well, you are not making any effort to discover the country you are visiting!
