Where to eat?

Family: Mescladis is a small, family-friendly cafe that offers great value for money and also has a play kitchen for the children.
Tired of embarrassing scenes in crowded restaurants? Barcelona is a great place to dine al fresco: have dinner on the beach whilst the kids are playing in the sand at Barceloneta beach.

Romantic: According to TripAdvisor, Con Gracia is the best romantic restaurant to visit if you’d to impress your partner.
An authentic restaurant option is 4Gats. You can find this charming restaurant in the city’s Gothic Quarter.
The Mandarin Oriental has several attractive spaces in which you can enjoy a delicious meal with your partner. Choose to dine poolside on the rooftop terrace, au naturel in Mimosa Garden, or in the light and spacious atrium Blanc.

Budget: El Raval is an underrated neighborhood of the city. Its immigrant population give this area a vivacious ambience and the relatively low level of affluence makes for a plethora of cheaper dining options. Try Julivert Meu for good quality traditional Catalan cuisine.

That’s all for now, folks, but let us know if you’ve been here and what you think of it. Do you have better recommendations? Share! Lastly, don’t forget to get your discount on Gran Hotel La Florida on your trip to Barcelona.

About Michael

Arrogance, hostility, parsimony, rapacity, impatience; the five humours of the Englishman abroad are my most positive features and also my guide and solace through tribulations. I delight in coffee, cheese, and the music of Ray Charles, and you can catch me trying to form a queue anywhere from Centraal Station to Hoofddorpplein.
