All roads lead to Rome – this saying explains in one sentence how magnificent, fantastic and awe-inspiring is the Italian capital, Rome! The Eternal City is one of the biggest cities in Italy and Europe and is, for sure, one of the most historical attractions in the whole world. Rome was once the capital of the whole world and it is still possible to find evidence of the city’s glorious past.

Like we did with the top Paris blogs, we’ll give you a valid list of blogs where you can find tips from the locals and fresh news about Rome. Of course, talking about Italy, most of these blogs are about food…so, if you are a food addict, you can’t miss them!

Parla Food – This is the personal blog of Katie, an American from New Jersey living in Rome since 2003. In Parla Food she writes about whatever she wants, which is mostly about food issues facing diners in Rome and in Italy.
Un’Americana a Roma (An American in Rome) – Shelley is an American who fell in love with Rome; she moved there in 2001 and since then she has been enjoying la dolce vita. In her blog you can find a lot of info about Rome (and its food).
Living in Rome – Debs, the author of this blog, is a freelance web designer and blogger. She moved to Italy in 1994 and now she lives in Rome. On her blog you will find a lot of information about exhibitions, events and concerts in Rome.
Revealed Rome – Amanda lives in Rome and in her blog you will find “tips, tricks and things not to miss…in Rome and Beyond.”
Ron in Rome – Ron moved to Rome from US and runs this blog to help folks traveling to Rome. Why? Ron says: “I remember our first trip to Italy. We were very excited but unprepared for the challenges we would meet. We made lots of mistakes. My goal here to to help you AVOID making those same time consuming and costly mistakes!” Actually Ron is not in Rome now, but he continues to update his blog with fresh and useful information.
Rachel’s Rome Writings – “I have created this blog as a place to record the wonderful times I have spent in Rome.” This is the introduction to Rachel’s blog where she shares recommendations “on everything from archaeological sites to B+Bs”.
Rome Photo Blog – The author of this blog, Jessica, is a Rome-based photographer and art historian. She has lived in Rome since 2005 and in this blog you will find some of her astonishing pictures.
Roma Every Day – Eleonora is “an American born and Italian raised, global citizen.” She lives in Rome and shares amazing pictures of Rome via her blog. She also has another blog about food; it’s not really related to Rome, but is nice reading anyway (http://www.aglioolioepeperoncino.com).
Migliora Roma – “Migliora Roma” is an Italian blog run by Martina. This blog is part of a bigger project that connects together different blogs dedicated to Rome to inform people about the city and how to improve the status of this amazing capital.
Viaje a Roma – A Spanish portal dedicated to Rome, this is not only a blog: here you will find plenty of info about the Eternal City – enough to have a nice holiday without any problems!
French in Roma – for our French fans, this is a blog about Rome in French. Even if the author says the blog is under construction, you can find a lot of info both for living in and for travelling to Rome.
