The beautiful mountains, white surrounding, endless ski resorts selection and the delicious French cuisine, all labeled it year after year as the one of the best places to go ski. There are so many places you can be accommodated in when going on winter sport; if it’s your first time skiing in France, how will you know where to go? That is why we decided to make life easier for you and help you narrow down your choices:

In this beautiful and extremely popular resort you can enjoy all ski types, on all possible levels. If you prefer snowboarding – no worries: there are slopes for you too :). Chamonix is known to be a very lively town that offers fun things to do around the clock. If you are not into parties and you have had enough of going out for dinner, there are many other things to do. You can pay a visit to the bridge club, casino, cinema, or go bowling.

Val d’Isère

Considered as one of the most luxurious ski resorts in the world, it is not difficult to understand why millions of visitors come back here each year. The village is absolutely prestigious: the hotels in the area are amazing and all of high standard, the restaurants offer huge variety of different cuisines for each person’s taste, there are wonderful shops in the village with unique findings, and most important of course is the ski level. The recommended level here is advanced: there are eight major points of mountains access, offering a high-speed underground funicular. But no worries if  skiing is not your strongest quality; there are plenty of other things to do: An outdoor ice rink, husky sledging, snowballing and ice climbing are just a few of the options.

This absolutely stunning area is formed of four different villages – each one having its own ski level, own style and own atmosphere. The options of things to see and do are so plentiful, it will not come as a surprise that this spot was known as one of the world’s best ski resorts. All the villages are easy to access as there are many ski lifts and busses. The best thing about Courchevel is that when it comes to skiing, it fits every person’s level; there are trails for beginners, intermediates and experts.

Last but definitely not least is breathtaking Megève. This beautiful ski resort was built in the 1920s in order to be an alternative to the usual visited Switzerland ski resort St. Moritz. This spot is known to be loved by especially Russian tourists. When you’re here, you will also surely come across (other) people who like to wear fur coats and show that they have a lot of money. Aside from the fact that the general atmosphere is rich and extravagant, the ski conditions here are absolutely amazing; 300 kilometers of marked ski trails, 81 integrated lifts and more factors contribute to the fact that this place regularly hosts the World Cup races.

About Yuli

Hi people! What can I tell about myself that will be short and to the point? Well, my name is Yuli, I am originally from Israel but came to Holland because of my Dutch husband, whom I met in Thailand. My favorite things in the world are: my family and friends, hummus and sunshine (now you probably wonder why I moved to Holland, well so do I every once in a while :-) ). I can be lazy from time to time but normally my enthusiasm surpasses all comprehension, and I cannot stop talking (or writing). Therefore, I hope you will enjoy all my posts!
